Copper thieves struck at the transmitter site north of SAN BERNARDINO, CA shared by CBS RADIO Country KFRG (FROGGY 95.1)/SAN BERNARDINO, ANAHEIM BROADCASTING Rock KCAL-F/REDLANDS, CA, and GOOD NEWS RADIO noncommercial Contemporary Christian KSGN/RIVERSIDE WEDNESDAY morning, knocking KFRG and KCAL off the air for a time, reports the RIVERSIDE PRESS-ENTERPRISE.
KFRG GM HARVEY WELLS told the P-E that someone took copper wiring from the transmitter building, taking KFRG off the air for 90 minutes; it returned at reduced power for an additional two hours. KCAL was off the air for four hours, while KSGN remained on the air.
