ENTERCOM Alternative KNRK (94/7)/PORTLAND, OR MD/morning host GREG GLOVER rose to action upon learning famed indie retailer MUSIC MILLENNIUM was under financial pressure due to an aging roof at their flagship store.
“I've lived in PORTLAND for almost 10 years and not a single week has passed by without at least one visit to MUSIC MILLENNIUM," said GLOVER. "When I heard they needed to raise funds in order to put a new roof on the building, I knew I had to do something to help. Record stores are unfortunately becoming an endangered species and I'm going to do all I can to keep this one from going extinct!”
94/7 Station Manager/PD MARK HAMILTON added, “94/7 is proud to be a part of the music community here in PORTLAND, and MUSIC MILLENNIUM has been a wonderful partner for many years. When GREG came to me with the idea of him and his canine sidekick, BISCUIT, broadcasting from the roof of the building until they get the money needed for essential repairs for this historical record store, I thought it was a fantastic way to draw attention to this cause.”
