TODAY (3/25), CBS Classic Hits WCBS-F/NEW YORK morning star SCOTT SHANNON announced on his show that former longtime co-host PATTY STEELE would be joining him for mornings, beginning THURSDAY (3/27). She's in-bound from crosstown CLEAR CHANNEL Talker WOR-A where she was doing news.
STEELE will provide listeners with news and entertainment reports, and is joined by MR. G providing weather updates, and JOE NOLAN with all the latest traffic information for morning commuters.
SHANNON told ALL ACCESS, "We are all thrilled to have PATTY come aboard. In my opinion, PATTY is one of the engaging and entertaining personalities around today. My thanks to (PD) JIM RYAN for working so hard to make this happen."
WCBS-F PD JIM RYAN said, "PATTY is not only a fun, compassionate personality, but one of the most credible news people in NEW YORK. That combination, along with her chemistry with SCOTT, makes her the perfect person for this show. We are so excited to bring her to CBS-FM."
STEELE added, "I'm delighted to be reunited with my dear friend SCOTT SHANNON, who has created so many legendary radio stations and morning shows. To help him bring his brand of magic to an iconic station like CBS-FM is an honor. There's no one better to laugh with, cry with, learn with and yes, fight with than SCOTT. I can't wait!"STEELE and SHANNON worked at crosstown WPLJ for 12 years and a few years together at WHTZ (Z100). STEELE is also a veteran of crosstown Talker WABC-A.
