WESTWOODONE reports that mobile listening to the NCAA Men's College Basketball Tournament was up for the first four days of the event this season, with over one million fans tuning in to the syndicator's coverage via digital streaming and partnerships.
A study by HARRIS INTERACTIVE for SOASTA showed 41% of the 51% of employed smartphone or tablet owners surveyed planning to check for MARCH MADNESS updates on mobile apps more than once a day. Other benefits seen by that group were aiding in checking brackets (29%), access to player and team information (27%), injury reports and other information (19%), and keeping track of the tournament at work (18%).
