CBS RADIO NEWS Capitol Hill correspondent BOB FUSS is retiring in MAY, according to a post at the network's FACEBOOK page. FUSS worked at MUTUAL, NBC and UPI before joining CBS; he was named Capitol Hill correspondent in SEPTEMBER 1999.
The post reads, "Our sincere thanks and congratulations to our longtime Capitol Hill Correspondent BOB FUSS who will be retiring in MAY. BOB FUSS was actually the last CBS NEWS correspondent in history to take a hand-off from the legendary WALTER CRONKITE, who opened the FEBRUARY 12th, noon ET CBS News on the Hour in 1999. We wish BOB all the best in his future endeavors."
