One of the victims of the BOSTON MARATHON bombing of 2013 is suing GLENN BECK, THE BLAZE INC., MERCURY RADIO ARTS and PREMIERE NETWORKS in federal court for defamation and slander, reports COURTHOUSE NEWS SERVICE.
ABDULRAHMAN ALHARBI, a student and spectator at the race who was injured in the explosion but falsely identified in some news reports as a suspect after he was questioned by federal authorities and allowed a search of his apartment (and was quickly found to not have any involvement in the bombing), alleges that BECK "repeatedly and falsely identified Mr. ALHARBI as an active participant in the crimes" and questioned why federal officials were not pursuing or detaining him.
The suit also alleges that BECK called ALHARBI the "money man" behind the bombing.
