NextRadio Pre-NAB Update: Still Growing

Over A Quarter-Million Downloads, 8,000 Station, 225,000 Listening Hours

With the NAB on the horizon, NEXTRADIO reported the latest data of FM chip adoption in SPRINT smartphones. Right now, there have been over 270,000 app downloads -- up 30,000 in two weeks (NET NEWS, 3/18) -- as users have tuned into over 8,100 FM radio stations (up 400 stations in two weeks), and listening for over 225,000 hours through NEXTRADIO -- a 35,000-hour increase.

NEXTRADIO can be found at the NAB at booth #C1054. There broadcasters can demo the NEXTRADIO app on commercially available smartphones from SPRINT. They can also demo TAGSTATION data services and see how intuitive it is to sync enhancements to their broadcast, familiarize themselves with levels of station participation, and sign stations up for free logo service.
