CMT Launches 'News & Docs' Division

CMT has revealed forthcoming projects that are currently in production for the network’s new News & Docs division.
Forthcoming documentaries include "PROMISELAND" from OSCAR-nominated Exec. Producer RIDLEY SCOTT, "THEY CALLED US OUTLAWS" by filmmaker ERIC GEADELMANN and ACADEMY AWARD winner MARK JOHNSON, "FREEDOM" by ACADEMY AWARD-nominated Director MORGAN SPURLOCK, and "URBAN LEGEND: WHEN A NATION WENT COUNTRY" by JOHN DORSEY and ANDREW STEPHAN. Also premiering will be "JOHNNY CASH -- AMERICAN REBEL" and episodes of CMT series "INSIDE FAME" which features profiles of Country artists such FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE and HUNTER HAYES.
CMT EVP/Programming and Development JAYSON DINSMORE and LEWIS BOGACH will serve as Executive Producers for CMT’s News & Docs division.
