Former CONNECTICUT Gov. JOHN ROWLAND is exiting as afternoon host on CBS RADIO News-Talk WTIC-A/HARTFORD. ROWLAND leaves in a swirl of controversy, "identified earlier this week in federal court as a co-conspirator in an alleged campaign financing scheme," reports THE HARTFORD COURANT.
"TODAY will be my last show as I leave the station to take care of some personal issues," ROWLAND said just before 6p.
PD JENNEEN LEE issued an email statement, writing, "We accept Mr. ROWLAND's decision to step down at this time. PASTOR WILL will take over the 3 to 6p show beginning on MONDAY."
