LARRY LUJACK, who died late last year (NET NEWS 12/19/2013) of esophageal cancer, was know for his time on CHICAGO's WLS-M and WCFL-A, along with being a member of THE HIT PARADE HALL OF FAME. He was lesser known for his distaste of modern technology, and preferred to use an old SMITH CORONA Typewriter to tap out his bits.
That typewriter is now being used to raise funds for THE HIT PARADE HALL OF FAME.
CHICAGO RADIO AND MEDIA reports, prior to his passing, "LUJACK wanted to do something to help out THE HIT PARADE HALL OF FAME. He gave his precious SMITH CORONA typewriter to his friend JOHN ROOK to sell as a fundraiser for the organization. That typewriter is now available on EBAY. Those interested in purchasing this piece of radio history may do so here for $500 or best offer. There is no cost for shipping/handling. This special auction will be on eBay for a limited time only."
