GREATER MEDIA Active Rocker WMMR/PHILADELPHIA's weekend/fill-in personality ROBIN LEE did her last on-air show after 33 years in radio last SUNDAY evening, APRIL 6th, and was given a proper send-off by several WMMR staffers.
Radio icon HOWARD STERN once referred to LEE, who worked nights as "THE NIGHTBIRD" for years at WYSP/PHILADELPHIA, as "a great sexy jock on the night airwaves."
WMMR PD BILL WESTON told ALL ACCESS, "ROBIN was the PD at Rock WZZO/ALLENTOWN back in the day (and a very successful one at that). We hired her for weekend/ fill-in airwork 10 years ago and she has been a key member ever since. It is so rare for an air talent to leave the nest, so we commemorated it with an on-air send-off from WMMR's PIERRE ROBERT, KEVIN GUNN, MATT CORD, BRENT PORCHE, SEAN 'THE RABBI' TYSZLER and other staffers who all came in on SUNDAY during her last shift, to surprise her and share some memories. She was presented flowers and a gold record plaque to remember her times with WMMR."
