WBAL, 98 Rock/Baltimore VP/GM Ed Kiernan To Retire This Summer

HEARST TELEVISION INC. News-Talk WBAL-A and Active Rock WIYY (98 ROCK)/BALTIMORE VP/GM ED KIERNAN is retiring this SUMMER, the stations announced TODAY (4/11). His replacement will be announced "at a future date," according to a release. KIERNAN joined the stations in 1991 after 17 years at CBS, where he served as VP/GM of News WCBS-A/NEW YORK and VP/GM of CBS RADIO REPS, among other positions.
HEARST Director DAVID BARRETT said, “We are so proud of ED's stewardship of WBAL and 98 Rock over the past 23 years. His commitment and passion for our stations, his team, and the BALTIMORE community are the hallmark of a truly remarkable career. We have been blessed by his steady leadership and warm friendship, which indelibly mark his years with HEARST.”
