There were performances a'plenty at the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY, held at THE BARCLAY CENTER in BROOKLYN last night, the L.A. TIMES reports. Among those inducted were CAT STEVENS (now known as "YUSUF"), LINDA RONSTADT, NIRVANA, KISS, HALL & OATES, THE E STREET BAND and PETER GABRIEL, as well as managers BRIAN EPSTEIN and ANDREW LOOG OLDHAM.
Among the memorable performances were YUSUF offering his past hits "Father and Son," "Wild World" and "Peace Train;" and NIRVANA'a NOVOSELIC, GROHL and PAT SMEAR being joined by JOAN JETT for "Smells Like Teen Spirit," SONIC YOUTH's KIM GORDON on "Aneurysm," ANNIE CLARK, a.k.a. ST. VINCENT, on "Lithium" and LORDE, who led all NIRVANA's guest singers on the closing number, "All Apologies."
