Former News KOMO-A-F and News-Talk KIRO-A-F/SEATTLE news anchor VAL STOUFFER is joining ALPHA BROADCASTING News-Talk KXL/PORTLAND as "PORTLAND'S AFTERNOON NEWS" co-anchor alongside DAN MITCHINSON. STOUFFER's resumé includes stations like WYEN, WMAQ-A and WLS-A/CHICAGO and FOX affiliate KCPQ-TV (Q13 FOX)/SEATTLE, and fill-in work at KZOK and KPLU/SEATTLE.
STOUFFER said of moving to PORTLAND, “All of us are enjoying exploring our wonderful new neighborhood. We love cycling, hiking, cross-country skiing and spending time on the OREGON coast and wine country. Good coffee and great food and the arts round out our interests. We should fit right in here in PORTLAND. So happy to be in such a beautiful place.”
ALPHA Director of Broadcasting SCOTT MAHALICK said, “VAL is a win for KXL. She brings significant news talk knowledge and incomparable experience that will benefit not only our afternoon day part but our entire station.”
