KHLT's Tim Peters Passes Suddenly

AIR CAPITOL MEDIA GROUP AC KHLT (LITE 99.7)/WICHITA morning host TIM PETERS has died, KAKE.COM reports. A station manager said employees became concerned when PETERS didn't show up for work this morning.

In a news release, LITE 99.7 GM BELINDA ATTEBERRY added, "TIM’s family, friends and the 99.7 LITE FM team are heartbroken and ask for privacy today as we all come to terms with this news."

A special live tribute to PETERS will be anchored by longtime friend and on-air co-worker, DAN HOLIDAY, alongside TIM’s current morning co-host, GAYLA CROUSE, tomorrow morning from 6-9a. The TIM PETERS Tribute broadcast will also be streamed online at litewichita.com. Listener remembrances of TIM can be e-mailed to the radio station at Local@LiteWichita.com.
