Condolences to family and friends of longtime CBS RADIO news KCBS-A-KFRC-F/SAN FRANCISCO reporter BOB SAFFORD, who the station is reporting died at his home last week after an apparent fall.
SAFFORD retired but remained active with the BROADCAST LEGENDS group. KCBS anchor STAN BUNGER remembered that SAFFORD narrated the FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA film "TUCKER: A MAN AND HIS DREAM," but only after initially hanging up on COPPOLA's call, thinking that the director was a prank caller.
