American Tower Q2 Revenues Up, Earnings May Need Restating

AMERICAN TOWER CORP. is delaying some of its second quarter financial reports because it may need to restate earnings due to the SEC and internal review of its stock option "backdating" practices, for which the company has been sued and subpoenaed by the Dept. of Justice. The company reported that its revenues jumped 73% to $325.9 million (pro forma up 12%, excluding the results of the merger with SPECTRASITE).
