CUMULUS Classic Rock KQRS morning host TOM BARNARD's podcast network is adding four new podcasts, reports the ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS. As ALL ACCESS previously reported, market veteran TOMMY MISCHKE will be doing "THE MISCHKE ROADSHOW" for BARNARD's operation, starting MAY 12th (NET NEWS 3/10).
Also being added are matchmaker KAILEN ROSENBERG's "THE LOVE HAPPY HOUR," starting APRIL 25th, "THE RUSTY GATENBY REVIEW" with former ABC affiliate KSTP-TV reporter GATENBY and MELINDA JACOBS talking about entertainment, and a financial advice show. The network currently offers BARNARD's own show and a show hosted by retired farmer and frequent talk radio caller CARL FRANKLIN.
The shows will have their own websites as well as being hosted on BARNARD's tombarnardpodcast.com. BARNARD's nephew SEAN BARNARD, who serves as GM of the network, said, "These are all shows that are owned by whoever is hosting them, and they're just simply in a network agreement with us, which means we either do a revenue share or they pay a fee to be on our network. Then what we do is cross-promote the shows. A host of one show will appear as a guest on another show. There'll be a lot of intermingling that way."
