CONNOISSEUR MEDIA's Rock WWSK (94-3 THE SHARK)/LONG ISLAND is celebrating new "Jox" and "Everything That Rocks" with a new lineup that includes the anticipated debut of a morning show hosted by DREW KENYON. The new staff also includes midday hostess RAVEN, PD DON HARRISON in afternoons and ROB RUSH in the evenings.
"After a nationwide search, we're excited to build and debut a team of pros who have passion for the music and want to be part of this growing station," said HARRISON. "Building an air staff is not an easy nor a simple task. Management had to consider many aspects of each person's voice and delivery in addition to other talents and skills he or she can bring to the station. Each person has a unique approach and background that makes the team a well-rounded group of rock authorities."
"They each bring their own style to the mic and as a team and they're rockin' it," adds GM/Market Manager DAVE WIDMER."I'm confident we've found a great group of talented professionals that will connect our listeners to the music and to our advertisers on a deeper, more personal level."
KENYON is a LONG ISLAND native who has been on the local airwaves for almost 20 years. RAVEN has been on-air in the NEW YORK area for almost 25 years as both an on-air personality and as a producer for both terrestrial and satellite radio programming.
HARRISON, the cornerstone of the team, began his career at WBCN/BOSTON before moving on to other markets like NEW ORLEANS and LOS ANGELES, where he successfully programmed stations with the "Everything That Rocks" format. RUSH has been on THE SHARK since it launched in SEPTEMBER 2012 and has since been the main voice of the station.
