Canadian Radio-TV Host Bob McLean Dies At 81

Condolences to family and friends of longtime TV and radio host BOB MCLEAN, who died APRIL 22nd of complications from heart disease at 81. He was best known for his eponymous daytime TV show on the CBC in 1976-1981 and for hosting the game show "DEFINITION."
MCLEAN started in local radio in BARRIE, ON, moving into TV at CHCH-TV/HAMILTON. He hosted "THE BOB MCLEAN SHOW" on WUAB-TV/CLEVELAND in 1966-70, then "MCLEAN AND COMPANY" at KYW-TV/PHILADELPHIA in 1970-73, moving across town to host WPVI-TV's "DIALING FOR DOLLARS" before returning to CANADA to host CTV's "DEFINITION" and his own CBC talk show.
He returned to radio at CKXM/EDMONTON while hosting a local TV show, then hosted at the CKO network of FM stations in the '80s. After a stint back on TV at CKCO-TV/KITCHENER, he ended his career with a talk show at CKWR-A/KITCHENER before his 2011 retirement.
