Longtime air personality ROBERT JAMES "BOBBY" BUTLER JR. in OKALHOMA CITY at the age of 67. A Country radio announcer since age 18, BUTLER worked in PRESCOTT and PHOENIX, AZ; AMARILLO and EL PASO, TX; AZTEC and FARMINGTON, NM, as well as others.
He also co-wrote the song, “Cheaper Crude or No More Food,” and sang it on the TV program “Real People” and in front of CONGRESS back in the mid ‘70s when there was a shortage of gasoline. He was nominated C&W DJ of the year for the Southwest region in the mid-‘70s.
