DIRECTV has ceased production of THE ARTIE LANGE SHOW, with the final episode airing on radio and TV on MONDAY (4/28). LANGE, the comedian and former HOWARD STERN sidekick, made the announcement on MONDAY's show, saying that he was informed by his agent on FRIDAY night that the show was cancelled three months short of the end of his contract and that the parting is amicable.
"I always thought we were a tax write-off for the DAN PATRICK SHOW," LANGE joked, adding that he thought his show was a "money-laundering operation." He said he has no complaints or ill will towards DIRECTV and has other opportunities coming up.
