ALL ACCESS has learned that CLEAR CHANNEL/MADISON, WI OM MIKE FERRIS, who doubles as PD for Country WMAD and Classic Rock WIBA-F, will be leaving the company at the conclusion of his current contract. His final day is set for TOMORROW, MAY 1st.
"I want to thank [CLEAR CHANNEL MILWAUKEE-MADISON Regional Market Manager] JEFF TYLER for the opportunity to manage so many wonderful people and these solid brands for so many years," said FERRIS, who has been with the six-station cluster since 1999.
ALL ACCESS also hears FERRIS will not be replaced, but his duties will be absorbed from both inside and outside the cluster. CLEAR CHANNEL/MILWAUKEE OM KERRY WOLFE will reportedly add day-to-day PD chores for WMAD. TIM SCOTT, who programs the MADISON group’s Talk stations, WIBA-A, WXXM-F and WTSO-A, is said to be adding OM responsibilities for the cluster.
FERRIS has not revealed his future plans but tells ALL ACCESS he will have an announcement soon. Reach him at (608) 772-8640 or here.
