NIELSEN reports that consumer confidence around the world, which ended on a flat note in 2013, is on the rebound. The polled countries combine for an index score of 96 in the first quarter of 2014 -- the highest level since Q1 2007 and a return to a pre-recession level. The global index represents a two-point increase from fourth-quarter 2013 and a three-point increase from a year ago (Q1 2013).
The UNITED STATES index score was up 6 points to an index score of 100, 12th highest and up 6 index point since the previous quarter. Read all about it here.
