WASHINGTON NATIONALS manager MATT WILLIAMS was rear-ended in a hit-and-run accident on his way to NATIONALS PARK this morning, and he gave a live play-by-play account of the mishap during his weekly appearance on CBS RADIO Sports WJFK (106.7 THE FAN)/WASHINGTON's THE SPORTS JUNKIES morning show.
WILLIAMS was talking baseball when he interrupted himself, saying, "sorry, guys, I just had an accident," then described that a police officer had arrived and the driver of the car that hit him then drove off, hitting other cars and being chased by the squad car. WILLIAMS said that he was fine but his car's rear end had been damaged.
