CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 KPXR/SPOKANE flipped to Country TODAY (5/8), calling itself, “KIX 96.1,” with PREMIERE syndicated morning program “THE BOBBY BONES SHOW” running in wakeups, AMY JAMES of KEEY/MINNEAPOLIS and TYLER REESE of WSIX/NASHVILLE tracking middays and afternoons, respectively and CLEAR CHANNEL/SPOKANE promotion team member COLE handling nights.
It’s a return to Country for the station, whose call letters were KIXZ before flipping to Top 40 in 2012 (NET NEWS 3/27/12). And once again, it gives SPOKANE three full-signal Country outlets, as “KIX 96.1” rejoins MAPLETON KDRK and QUEENB KXLY in the format.
KPXR BRAD MILLER is looking for part-time/weekend talent; send materials here.
