YESTERDAY (NET NEWS 5/12), ALL ACCESS reported the fate of Top 40 countdown legend CASEY KASEM took a strange twist when a judge ordered an investigation into KASEM's whereabouts after his wife's attorney said KASEM was out of the country -- and he didn't know exactly where KASEM was. ABC NEWS reported that L.A. SUPERIOR COURT Judge DANIEL S. MURPHY ordered a court investigator and adult protective services to find out where the iconic DJ is being treated.
The story continues to provide surprises, as late last night a judge named KASEM's daughter KERRI as the temporary conservator of her father.
CNN reports, "The conservatorship is in effect until JUNE 20th, when a hearing is scheduled on whether to make the conservatorship permanent, according to the L.A. COUNTY Superior Court spokeswoman PATRICIA KELLY."
Last year (NET NEWS 10/16/13), a different judge denied KASEM's children conservatorship.
"Justice was finally served! I just won temporary conservatorship over my father's healthcare. We have been vindicated by the court. Thank you for your prayers, well wishes and support through this entire ordeal," KERRI KASEM posted on her FACEBOOK page, and later added, "I believe my father's wife fled the country (or possibly went to an Indian Reservation) with my Dad because she knew I would win in court today. The judge ordered Adult Protective Services, the PVP Attorney and the police to look for him. Please pray that he is safe."
