Gram Corp. Ends Simulcast, Assigns News Calls In Valdosta, GA.

GRAM CORPORATION’s Urban WGOV AM & FM/VALDOSTA, GA is going to discontinue simulcasting and split the two stations AUGUST 14. WLYX will be the new calls for the FM, which will remain Urban. They will adopt the slogan “LICK-96.” The AM will switch to Urban AC and become “MAJIC 95.” PD PAUL LAMAR FREEMAN will oversee the programming of both stations. SKY LUV has been tapped as PD/MD of the FM while “JAMMIN’” JAMMIE takes over as MD for the AM and promotions director for the FM.
