Doug Karsch, Jon Jansen To Host Michigan Football Pre-Game Show

The changes on UNIV. OF MICHIGAN football broadcasts continue, with MICHIGAN IMG RADIO NETWORK announcing that BIG TEN NETWORK analyst and former WOLVERINES and WASHINGTON REDSKINS offensive tackle JON JANSEN and CBS RADIO Sports WXYT-F (97.1 THE TICKET)/DETROIT host and WOLVERINES sideline reporter DOUG KARSCH will host the radio network's pre-game "TAILGATE SHOW" this FALL. KARSCH will continue as sideline reporter and JANSEN will add commentary on the halftime and post-game shows. The network recently announced the addition of DAN DIERDORF as game analyst alongside JIM BRANDSTATTER, who moved to play-by-play to replace the retiring FRANK BECKMANN.
KARSCH said, "I have gotten to know JON JANSEN over the years and he is a great guy. He is a very good story teller and his been in the battles in the BIG TEN. JON is going to be able to provide fans with a real unique insight into MICHIGAN football. He will bring great energy to the broadcast every week. I can't wait to get started."
JANSEN said, "I'm excited to be a part of the team that IMG and MICHIGAN has assembled to bring MICHIGAN football to our fans on SATURDAYS this fall. The University and football program have always been very special to me, from my days as a player, as a fan and now as a broadcaster. Football season can't get here fast enough, Go Blue!"
MICHIGAN IMG SPORTS MARKETING GM RON MELNYK added, "We're very excited to have DOUG and JON bringing to WOLVERINES fans a pre-game show more centered on MICHIGAN football. The shift in focus will bring fans more impactful and relevant information about the team they love. Fans will be more engaged in the show than ever before."
