VALORY MUSIC’s BRANTLEY GILBERT continued his “Just As I Am” album launch week YESTERDAY (5/21), embarking on a six-day motorcycle ride to raise awareness for the FOLDS OF HONOR FOUNDATION. Powered by HARLEY DAVIDSON, the ride kicked off at the ATHENS, GA HARLEY DEALERSHIP and will conclude MONDAY (5/26) at ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY. ALL ACCESS Editorial Assistant BRITTANY PELLEGRINO is currently out on the road with BRANTLEY and filed this report:
BRANTLEY’s first stop TODAY (5/22) was at WAL-MART in COLUMBIA, SC, where he played an acoustic set and held a meet and greet with fans. WAL-MART is the only retailer to carry BRANTLEY’s “Just As I Am” Deluxe Edition, which features three additional songs: “G.R.I.T.S.,” “Read Me My Rights,” and “Grown Ass Man.”
Last NIGHT (5/21), BRANTLEY made a stop in AUGUSTA, GA at the AUGUSTA HARLEY-DAVIDSON, where the crowd was 1,500+ people. He was only supposed to sign copies of his album for the first 300 people who showed up, but ended up staying till every one that came out had a chance to meet him. I got to speak with BRANTLEY following the performance and asked him about his reaction to the size of the crowd.
“There was definitely a lot more people than we expected,” said BRANTLEY. “When we showed up we were walking through the dealership when we heard them chanting and screaming and it sounded like one of my arena shows. There were people of all ages out there. It was a lot of fun! Plus, I made friends with a six-year-old named ANDREW who was awesome, and was throwing devil horns at me from in front of the stage. We had a ball!”
The final stop TODAY (5/22) will be at a BEST BUY in GREENVILLE, SC, where BRANTLEY will interact with fans before heading to GAFFNEY, SC TOMORROW (5/23) for a SIRIUSXM listener event with host STORME WARREN.
