The FCC has designated for hearing before an Administrative Law Judge MICHAEL S. RICE's bid to return to station ownership with the proposed sale of W238CE/MONTGOMERY, AL by PATRICK SULLIVAN to his LAKE BROADCASTING CO. for $1,000.
RICE lost his previous radio licenses after he was convicted of felony deviate sexual assault of minors in 1994. The Commission challenged the assertion that RICE had been sufficiently rehabilitated as to deserve to be reinstated to the ranks of individuals fit to own stations, and sent the matter for a hearing.
