The CANADIAN MEDIA GUILD and MARITIME BROADCASTING SYSTEM have reached a tentative agreement that will end a strike and lockout by seven workers at Country CFBC-A, Top 40 CIOK (K100) and Classic Hits CJYC (KOOL 98)/SAINT JOHN, NB.
The CBC reports that the nearly two-year strike/lockout will end with a four-year deal that includes signing bonuses and new pay scales. The "SAINT JOHN 7" had been seeking C$12-17 per hour; the strike began in JUNE 2012, and the stations locked out the strikers this month.
