ALL ACCESS has confirmed that NAB EVP/CTO KEVIN GAGE has exited the organization. GAGE told his staff last week that he had decided to leave, reportedly after declining a contract renewal offer.
GAGE joined the NAB in MAY 2011 after prominent stints at WARNER BROS., WARNER MUSIC GROUP, and NBC UNIVERSAL.
NAB EVP/Communications DENNIS WHARTON said, “KEVIN GAGE had a successful tenure at NAB and deserves generous credit for his leadership of the NAB Labs program and for forging a broadcast agenda that fully embraced moving digital radio and TV content to multiple mobile platforms. KEVIN pushed boundaries and was an agent of change within our industry. We wish him well as he moves on to pursue new opportunities.
“NAB remains committed to the Labs and is reviewing organizational options that optimize an aggressive innovation strategy for local radio and television stations.
“In the interim, NAB’s Technology department will be in the extremely capable hands of longtime SVP LYNN CLAUDY who will oversee the department.”
