CLEAR CHANNEL News-Talk WGY-A-F/ALBANY-SCHENECTADY-TROY morning host CHUCK CUSTER celebrated his 30-year anniversary with the station on THURSDAY (5/28). CUSTER joined WGY as evening news anchor on MEMORIAL DAY 1984 and moved to mornings as news anchor on DON WEEKS’ show after a couple of years, adding News Dir. and PD duties along the way. He became morning co-host with KELLY LYNCH upon WEEKS’ retirement in 2010.
CUSTER said, "It's been an incredible and rewarding 30 years. I've been truly blessed to have the opportunity to do what I love to do, at a great station, with a group of people, past and present, who mean so much to me."
OM JOHN COOPER added, "CHUCK is part of the fabric of WGY. Over the years he's played a very big part in the success of the station working in many roles from news, to a morning show sidekick with DON WEEKS, to PD/News Dir., and now co-host of the WGY Morning Show. We, along with all the listeners in the CAPITAL DISTRICT, are fortunate to have CHUCK broadcasting in our Community."
