Country P1s are more likely than average listeners to use radio to find out about music and less likely to listen to online radio.
This, according to EDISON RESEARCH’s “THE INFINITE DIAL 2014: A LOOK AT COUNTRY P1s,” part of the company’s continuing series of format breakouts. The Country findings are based on 146 listeners age 12 and older who named a Country outlet as their P1 station.
Additional findings show Country P1s less likely than overall respondents to have used online radio in the past week -- specifically PANDORA -- and less likely to utilize YOUTUBE to access music videos or hear music.
Keeping up with music is of higher importance to Country P1s, who also cite AM/FM radio as a source to find out about music at a greater percentage than overall listeners.
More information about the sample for “THE INFINITE DIAL” Country breakout: 42% were 34 years old or younger, 27% were aged 35 to 54, and 31% 55-plus.
