AL GARDNER, who has been co-hosting GM LANNY FORD's "THE BOTTOM LINE" show on a weekly basis on HRN BROADCASTING Sports WZGV-A (ESPN 730)/CHARLOTTE, will be joined by former CAROLINA PANTHERS GM MARTY HURNEY for a new daily midday show on the station, reports the CHARLOTTE OBSERVER's MARK WASHBURN. "HURNEY AND GARDNER" will launch on MONDAY (6/16).
HURNEY, a former WASHINGTON TIMES sportswriter and GM of the PANTHERS from 2002 through 2012, has been appearing on ESPN's "NFL INSIDERS" since MARCH. The new show will air at 1-3p weekdays, and FORD told WASHBURN that the afternoon show "THE PULSE" with BOBBY ROSINSKI and CHRIS ALLISON will move up an hour to air 3-7p, starting MONDAY.
GARDNER hosted mornings for 14 years on crosstown Talk WBT-A-F before exiting to join MERLIN Talk WWIQ (IQ 106.9)/PHILADELPHIA as VP/Programming in 2011.
