City Of Hopes 'Musicians On Call' Program

ALL ACCESS sends our best out to EVP National Programs & Platforms ALISSA POLLACK who will be on hand at THE CITY OF HOPE/DUARTE, CA location TODAY (6/16) for a performance by RCA recording artist GAVIN DEGRAW who will be playing for the MUSICIANS ON CALL "JASON POLLACK BEDSIDE PERFORMANCE PROGRAM" named in honor of ALISSA's father.

MUSICIANS ON CALL was founded in 1999 with the mission of bringing live and recorded music by both local musicians and celebrities to the bedsides of patients who are unable to venture off from their hospital beds as they fight to conquer cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, and other life threatening diseases.  To date, the program’s volunteers have played for over 400,000 people nationwide.

According to CITY OF HOPE's GAYLE GILBERT of the Dept. of Supportive Care at CITY OF HOPE, "MEDICINE MUSICIANS ON CALL brings so much joy to not only the patients, but also their caregivers and their health care team.  We are grateful to have the musicians come share their talents. Patients tell us the experience helps take their mind off a rough day."
