BUTTE BROADCASTING Christian Rock AIR 1 affiliate KYIX and K238AR, the FM translator rebroadcasting sister Religion KKXX-A/CHICO, CA, were taken off the air in a dispute with management at the FM antenna site.
The stations reported that on JUNE 11th, "a man identified to BUTTE BROADCASTING as an employee of INCOMM SITES, INC. unplugged and then removed equipment wiring owned by BUTTE BROADCASTING COMPANY, INC. that are used to broadcast our radio signals to the public, as a public service. These acts were recorded on surveillance equipment. It is the opinion of BUTTE BROADCASTING that these acts were done maliciously and without cause."
BUTTE claims that proper notice was not given of disruption to its signals and that it has received notice that INCOMM "no longer has the right to manage the facility"; it says that it has made all of its required lease payments.
KKXX is on the air on the AM side and online.
