Katy Perry Launches Metamorphosis Music

CAPITOL RECORDS artist KATY PERRY has just launched her own label, METAMOPHOSIS MUSIC, which will be distributed with CAPITOL.  PERRY wasted no time in announcing her first signing, singer-songwriter FERRAS. 

FERRAS' digitally released self-titled EP arrived yesterday (6/17) and features "Legends Never Die," a duet with PERRY, who is also the EP's executive producer.  FERRIS was originally signed to CAPITOL in 2007.  His 2008 MATRIX-produced label debut "Aliens & Rainbows" spawned the lead single "Hollywood's Not America," which was used as the exit song during the semi-final round of the seventh season of AMERICAN IDOL.    

PERRY released a statement saying, "FERRAS is a man with a message and a unique, lyrical way of communicating his perspective on life that makes you feel connected to every note when you listen.  I believe he is going to be an important artist to watch unfold."

FERRAS has also been invited by PERRY to join her upcoming NORTH AMERICAN tour as support artist. The tour begins JUNE 22 in RALEIGH, wrapping OCTOBER 11 in HOUSTON. "I am so ecstatic the world gets to hear his music now both online and on tour with me," added PERRY.
