No new station sales appeared in the FCC database THURSDAY morning, but two sale closings did make an appearance.
POSITIVE ALTERNATIVE RADIO, INC. has closed on the sale of W227CQ/MARION, VA to CADDELL BROADCASTING, INC. for $25,000. The station is filing an application to move so that it can rebroadcast Country WKSK-A (THE FARM)/WEST JEFFERSON, NC.
And RAMS II has closed on the assignment of W250BM/CULLMAN, AL to TRIPP, LLC for space on the tower of WKUL/CULLMAN, AL.
Also, STARSTATION RADIO, LLC's application to move Silent WLRR/MILLEDGEVILLE, GA to BUCKHEAD, GA (not the neighborhood of ATLANTA but a separate community), which the applicant previously had dismissed, has been reinstated, as has CUMULUS' objection to the application. The move would put WLRR 108.5 miles from the tower of co-channel CUMULUS Rock WNNX (ROCK 100.5)/COLLEGE PARK-ATLANTA, three miles more than the minimum separation.
