ALL ACCESS sends condolences to the friends and family of GRAND OLE OPRY star JIMMY C. NEWMAN, who passed away SATURDAY night (6/21) in NASHVILLE after a brief illness. He was 86.
JIMMY was signed to DOT RECORDS, and best known for his Country songs "A Fallen Star" and "Cry, Cry Darling;" as well as the Cajun-infused "Diggy Liggy Lo," "Alligator Man" and "Bayou Talk."
A public service will be held WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25th at the RYMAN AUDITORIUM at 10a (CT) and will be followed by a private visitation and memorial service for close friends and family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the GRAND OLE OPRY TRUST FUND.
