Arbitron-Saga Suit Under Protective Order, Set For June 2015 Conference

The judge in ARBITRON's 2013 suit against SAGA COMMUNICATIONS, INC. and LAKEFRONT COMMUNICATIONS LLC over allegations of unauthorized ratings use has put the case under a Protective Order allowing the parties to designate certain trade secrets and proprietary information as confidential and has set a pre-trial conference for JUNE 12th, 2015.

The case is in U.S. District Court for DELAWARE before Judge LEONARD P. STARK.

SAGA has denied ARBITRON's allegations and has asserted several affirmative defenses, including fair use, lack of copyright and acquiescence.

ARBITRON has since been acquired by NIELSEN.
