EMI CMG DISTRIBUTION and INPOP RECORDS agreed to a new, long-term distribution agreement, as announced today by GREG BAYS, SR. VP/Sales and Marketing for EMI CMG DISTRIBUTION, and DALE BRAY, Pres. of INPOP RECORDS, continuing their successful seven-year partnership.
The deal extension comes just before some highly anticipated releases for INPOP this fall, including SPEAK, the debut of HOUSTON, TX-based, singer/songwriter JIMMY NEEDHAM, which hits stores AUGUST 15, and, after its recent success with worship music, the NEWBOYS’ return to its rock roots with the OCTOBER 31 release of GO.
ldquo; From the start, we have appreciated the commitment and passion that everyone at EMI CMG has demonstrated for INPOP’s vision. There was no question that we wanted to lengthen this relationship as they continue to support us in growing and nurturing artists whose music knows no boundaries,” said BRAY.
EMI CMG DISTRIBUTION holds exclusive rights for worldwide Christian and general market retail distribution of all INPOP artists, including NEWSBOYS, SUPERCHICK, TREE63, SHANE & SHAN and MAT KEARNEY, and new artists FOOLISH THINGS and JIMMY NEEDHAM.
