Public radio programming distribution hub PUBLIC RADIO EXCHANGE (PRX) has picked jÄcapps as its recommended partner for development of mobile apps for public radio stations. PRX previously developed apps for public radio stations and, with its transition to focus on its own mobile strategy with original and custom apps linked to its core distribution service, PRX is now recommending that its current clients shift to jÄcapps.
Among new features being brought to public radio apps by jÄcapps are audio, video, and photo sharing capabilities with the station, and integration of FACEBOOK, TWITTER and INSTAGRAM feeds. jÄcapps is already providing apps for almost 40 public radio stations nationwide.
jÄcapps COO BOB KERNEN said, "jÄcapps intends to use this partnership as a springboard to grow our presence in the public radio sphere We think this is an opportunity to bring new ideas and products to the many outstanding organizations and stations in public radio."
PRX CEO JAKE SHAPIRO added, "We're impressed with jacapps' platform and professionalism, and enthusiastically recommend that stations outsourcing native app development work with BOB and his team."
