REDWOOD EMPIRE STEREOCASTERS Jazz KJZY/SANTA ROSA will bid adieu to morning man ROB SINGLETON tomorrow, as he is retiring after 29 years at the station.
Night host TROY DURAN tells ALL ACCESS, "ROB started with REDWOOD EMPIRE STEREOCASTERS as the News Dir. at KZST (I’m not sure exactly when), and signed KJZY on in NOVEMBER 1995. Before working for GORDON ZLOT, owner of R.E.S., I believe ROB worked in SAN FRANCISCO for a number of radio stations, and began his broadcasting career while serving in the Armed Forces. In addition to hosting the morning show at JAZZY, another labor of love is his SUNDAY night show Jazz and Beyond -- a show that features the best new Jazz, with an emphasis on BAY AREA and SONOMA County artists."
GORDON ZLOT tells us SCOTT MITCHELL will be taking his place.
