COX MEDIA GROUP AC WGMG/ATHENS, GA names STEVE ANTHONY for mornings replacing ALLEN TIBBETTS who recently retired. He joins current co-host BETH LAREN.
STEVE ANTHONY was previously on the air at sister Classic Hits WJGL (THE EAGLE 96.9) and Top 40 WAPE/JACKSONVILLE, FL.
According to MAGIC 102.1 PD JERRY ARNOLD, "We are all sad to see ALLEN leave and we greatly appreciate everything that he has done for ATHENS, CMG and MAGIC 102.1 over the years, but I am absolutely thrilled to have a talent like STEVE join the MAGIC MORNING SHOW. He is an excellent storyteller, a fantastic radio personality, and he brings an infectious positive attitude with him wherever he goes."
STEVE ANTHONY added, "I'm extremely excited to be joining the CMG team in ATHENS. From my first conversation with JERRY to my first time walking through the facility, I knew this was a group that was passionate about bringing something special to the listeners, with a focus on fun, local radio. I can't wait to get there, explore the amazing culture of ATHENS and take in a few DAWGS games!"
