Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame Announces 2014 Inductees

JOHN ANDERSON, PAUL CRAFT, TOM DOUGLAS and GRETCHEN PETERS have been named to the NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME (NSHOF), the organization announced TODAY (7/8).
JOHN ANDERSON is included in the Songwriter/Artist category. In addition to a long career as an artist, he penned many of his own hits, including the 1983 COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) Single Of The Year winner, “Swingin’” and later, “Seminole Wind.”
PAUL CRAFT enters in the Veteran Songwriter category and is best known for writing BOBBY BARE’s “Dropkick Me, Jesus” and MOE BANDY’s “HANK WILLIAMS, You Wrote My Life.”
TOM DOUGLAS and GRETCHEN PETERS enter in the Songwriter category. DOUGLAS’ credits include “I Run To You” for LADY ANTEBELLUM and “The House That Built Me,” performed by MIRANDA LAMBERT.
PETERS’ credits include “Independence Day” for MARTINA MCBRIDE and “The Secret Of Life” for FAITH HILL.
The 2014 inductees join 192 existing members and will be officially inducted SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5th at NASHVILLE’s MUSIC CITY CENTER, home to the NSHOF.
