"THE DREAM DOCTOR SHOW" host CHARLES McPHEE has disclosed that he has amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (LOU GEHRIG'S disease). McPHEE told his audience that he has been diagnosed with the incurable disease and that "I feel okay right now, but let's be real ... it's a very serious diagnosis. 50% of those diagnosed live three years; 20% live 5 years and 10% live ten years, while others survive 30 years. It's impossible to predict."
McPHEE says that he will continue the show, syndicated by SPRINGHILL SYNDICATION, as long as he is able and has already selected fellow PRINCETON graduate FRANK RUNYEON as his successor. He will also work closely with the ALS FOUNDATION to increase public awareness about the disease.
