The FCC database was very quiet FRIDAY morning, with just one filing of note. LAKESIDE TELECOMMUNICATIONS, INC. has asked the FCC for a silent STA for WSSD/CHICAGO while it upgrades its studio and transmitter equipment.
In a technical filing first noted by RADIO INSIGHT, BRIDGELIGHT, LLC has resubmitted its 2013 proposal to move W232AL/POMONA, NY to a tower across the HUDSON in WESTCHESTER COUNTY with CUMULUS Hot AC WPLJ/NEW YORK listed as a primary station. WPLJ's HD2 channel is where the former AC WFAS-F/WHITE PLAINS was moved when that station's primary signal was moved into NEW YORK as Urban AC WNBM (RADIO 100.9), and the translator could rebroadcast the old WESTCHESTER-centric programming to much of its former coverage area.
And BUCKLEY BROADCASTING has closed on the sale of Top 40/Rhythmic KSEQ (Q97)/FRESNO to LOTUS COMMUNICATIONS for $2.4 million. DICK FOREMAN of RICHARD A. FOREMAN ASSOCIATES, INC. represented BUCKLEY and KALIL AND CO. represented LOTUS in the deal.
