"THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE!" starring CARRIE UNDERWOOD received four "PRIMETIME EMMY" nods when nominations were revealed YESTERDAY (7/10).
Nominations for the unprecedented television production include Outstanding Music Direction, Outstanding Directing For A Variety Special, Outstanding Special Class Program, and Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control For A Miniseries, Movie or a Special.
"THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE!" three-hour special was broadcast last DECEMBER live on NBC-TV. CARRIE UNDERWOOD took on the starring role of MARIA in the production alongside co-stars STEPHEN MOYER, AUDRA MCDONALD, CHRISTIAN BORLE, and LAURA BENANTI. The broadcast attracted 44 million viewers in its airings.
"THE 66TH PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS" will be hosted by SETH MEYERS and will be telecast live coast-to-coast on MONDAY, AUGUST 25th on NBC-TV at 8p (ET)/5p (PT).
